The Woolmer Green Neighbourhood Watch Scheme has been set up with 24 volunteer Street Co-ordinators. Signs have been erected on each road that is covered and information packs have been distributed to residents. There are, however, still some gaps in coverage. Coordinators are required for Bridge Road, Longmead, London Road, Evergreen Close, Barleycroft, Birch Road, Garden Close, Mardleybury Court and Mardleybury Road. Established in September 2008 to satisfy the strong local demand for allotments, a one acre site in Woolmer Green has been leased and the tenants started work on their plots in March 2010.
